Thrifty's Holiday Gift Guide

The holiday season is a magical time, but let's face it; it can be stressful to find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list and stay in budget.
Hopefully my gift guide here can provide you with some great reasonably priced ideas for every age and interest on your list!

Feminine Fancies:

I have long been eyeing the gorgeous jewelry from Cheap Frills. I have not purchased yet, but with many stunning jewelry pieces under $20, I hope Santa might slip one of these autumnal necklaces under the tree for me. They are a UK based company but do offer international shipping.

The perfect gift for the mermaid at heart: this super cozy knit mermaid tail blanket! I may or may not have gotten one of these for a special mermaid lover. Heck, I wanted one for myself too but already have wayyy too many throw blankets. These are available through many etailers, including Amazon.

For the lover of smell goods, how about a brightly packaged and personally curated sampler of fragrance oils for only $12? Yes please! These and many other body and home products are available from The Quixotic Eye.

Gadgets and Gizmos:

I purchased this waterproof bluetooth shower speaker for my hubby last Christmas and he loves it! Other than needing to be charged nearly every day, it works well. For only $5 shipped it's a steal from Wish.

Something I am super excited to give my hubby this year is this Steampunk Bolt Action Pen Kit. He is mildly fascinated with steampunk style gadgets, recently got into rifles, and used to love crafting wooden pens in high school wood shop, so I think he will love it! This site has dozens of pen kits ranging from $2.99 to $40. The shipping was prompt; it arrived in about a week.

Another Wish find here: a cool little water resident camera that I got for my dad who loves outdoor photography. I have no idea of the quality; the reviews were decent, but I figure for $16 it would be fun to try.

Fun With Fandom:

This Etsy Shop offers Pokémon Go team tees and tanks in every size for under $10! I'm sure we all know at least one person on our list who would love one of these this year. #teammystic

It's also been a huge year for Star Wars of course, and with another movie set to release the craze won't slow down anytime soon. If you want to show your Jedi pride but your proclivities lean a bit more girly like myself, you must have this adorable art print and floral Star Wars tee from Society 6. This beauty is $34 but they also offer the same print in less expensive items such as phone cases and leggings.

Both cool and practical, who wouldn't want a Millennium Falcon bottle opener? It's only $1? Yes please!

Waxy Wonders:

You didn't think I would do this post without some yummy smelling wax goodies did you?
I actually did order some wax for a gift this year from Lumiere Candle Co. My mother in law is very sensitive to fragrances and while she likes her home to smell good she will only melt vanilla scents from Walmart so far. She does love horses and horse related aromas though, so I'm hoping these equine themed melts and little woodwick candles will lure her over to the dark side of vendor wax. I must confess, the non eqine scents and for me. I couldn't order from a new vendor afterall without testing out some of their products for myself. I melted through the Chai candle already and it was a wonderful chai spice aroma with light throw. The wick crackled merrily and burned efficiently for being a small candle. I got about 20-25 burn hours from 4 oz. These are 100% soy wax and you can choose any 3 4oz candles for $14 or 3 3oz clamshells for $8.50.

If I was to give wax as a gift I would want it to look fancy as well as smell good, and Pocket Full Of Peonies makes some of my favorite shapes, including these stunning custom rose loves for around $30 and these ridiculously cute Pusheen the cat shapes! Jennifer has excellent quality wax and customer service in my opinion.

Another wax shop with gorgeous shapes and top notch service is Country Lane Keepsakes. I cannot get enough of her gorgeous roses, and other adorable shapes like pinecones and owls!

I hope you enjoyed my gift guide and may you succeed in spreading some love this holiday season! Where are your favorite places to shop for inexpensive gifts?

  2. Such unique picks, many I've never heard of. Drooling over the Society6 tee, but not sure if I could pull it off. And those CLK pinecones are a must! Pine cones are my fave winter motif and...wait was this a gift guide for buying for others bc all I'm seeing are goodies that I want:p

  3. I can think of a certain mermaid at heart who would love that mermaid tail! I would love it if I weren't severely claustrophobic when it comes to my legs. I don't understand the whole "blanket cocoon" thing people love to do. It sends me into a panic.
CLK really does offer some gorgeous tarts! I'm always blown away by the product pictures in her Facebook group!
Thank you for this list! I came across a few things I didn't realize I needed to add to peoples' lives until now. LOL!
