Recent Wax Reviews

Up The Creek Pink Chiffon Rainforest: this scent was a nice blend of sweet and fresh on cold sniff. It was like pink sugar and greenery and fresh rain, but the throw was almost non existent. I could only smell it with my nose right above the warmer. (Melted whole tart on Glade hot plate warmer in a small room.) Overall grade: C. Would not purchase.

Swanky Lemon Cake Sweet on Paris: This was a yummy sweet lemon bakery aroma with a touch of perfumey pink sugar. It had a nice, moderate throw that lasted all day. Overall grade: A-. Might repurchase.

Starry Skies High Tea With Emily (pumpkin cupcake + tea & cakes): a super yummy, classic tea & cakes scent that is rich and warm with a touch of creamy pumpkin goodness. Very well done! Strong throw that lasted all day. Overall grade: A+. Would repurchase.

Kitty's Konfections Twisted & Nuts (caramelized prailenes & funnel cake): a predominantly cinnamon sugar bakery aroma. I didn't get much caramel or nuttiness. Smelled good on cold but surprisingly light throw. I get much better throw from her older wax. The stuff from the last restock before she closed up shop doesn't seem as strong to me. Overall grade: C-. Cannot/would not repurchase.

Kitty's Konfections Venti No Whip (toasted marshmallow pumpkin spice latte): mainly pumpkin spice with just a hint of coffee. Moderate throw for about 4 hours, becoming very light thereafter. Again, not as good of a performance as past KK scents I've melted. Overall grade: B-. Cannot/would not repurchase.

The Scented Squirrel Election Day (hot apple pie + American cream): a nice and creamy spiced apple bakery scent. Surprisingly light throw for me though; most of this brand's scents I've tried have been fairly strong. This one had light throw for about 8 hours. Overall grade: B. Probably wouldn't repurchase.
