If you love to do custom nail art, you need the Uber Chic Beauty mat! It's a placemat sized flexible silicone mat with nail design templates. I'd seen a lot of nail gurus on Instagram making their own custom nail decals with Uber Chic mats, so I decided to try my hand at it too. As this was my first time attempting this, please forgive the imperfections. Polishes used are Zoya Roxy, NYC Black Lace Creme, Revlon Gel Envy Top Coat. Stamping tools are MoYou London XL Marshmallow stamper, scraper, and Pro Plate 04.
1) Paint a clear quick dry top coat on the fingernail templates on the mat and allow to dry for a few minutes.
2) Paint polish on a stamping plate design, remove excess polish with scraper, and transfer design onto stamper.
3) Press stamper onto clear nail polish on the mat. Don't worry if it's not perfectly centered.
4) Paint desired background color over stamped image on mat. (What I learned here is that your stamping polish and background color should have high contrast. Otherwise the image won't show up particularly well.)
5) With tweezers carefully remove the dry decal from the mat.
6) Place decal topside down on the desired nail, pressing down around cuticle with an orangewood stick.
7) Trim excess edges with nail scissors/clippers.
8) Paint decals with top coat.
Et VoilĂ !
