Black and Cognac OOTD
I decided to try a more unusual (for me) color combo today and I quite like the results. Those of you that dislike black and brown together may want to look away, lol.

Snowmageddon OOTD
Ugh. So cold. So much snow. But if we must get dressed to survive, we can also look good while doing it, right? Today I was inspired by this cute pin. The only thing I'm missing that I wish I had is her adorable heart patches. ^.^

Arctic OOTD
I know many of you on the east coast are experiencing hellacious temps, and I will be joining you tomorrow (driving towards Maryland from Colorado.) I guess part of the occupational hazard of driving through 3 or 4 states in a day is experiencing glorious springlike weather one day, and blizzards the next. I always have to check the forecasts of where I'm going to be, rather than where I am before I get dressed, lol. So its back to winter gear for me today after yesterday's spring colors and ballet flats. Didn't find a full length mirror today, so here's a weird body cut in half collage. :)

OOTD: Feels Like Spring
It's going to be in the mid 40's to low 60's in Colorado and Nebraska today, so I can wear flats and 3/4 sleeves without freezing, yay! Today's look was loosely inspired by the outfit below from the blog Here and Now. It was a bit plain for me, so I spiced it up with colorful stripes and polka dots, statement jewelry, and metallic flats.

OOTD: Classic and Dreamy
This winter/fall I've been enjoying wearing a color palette that includes a lot of black, white, burgundy, and gray. As much as I'm looking forward to spring colors and warmer weather, I still have time for several warm and cozy outfits. I was just glad not to have to wear snow boots and a heavy jacket today. :)

OOTD: Leopard and Burgundy
The past couple days have been a fail for ootd pics; no mirrors, no time, etc. But today I'm feeling refreshed and wanted to go simple but chic.

OOTD: Silver and Gold
In my humble opinion, sparkle/metallics are not just limited to the holiday season or special occasions. Today I paired gold and silver together, inspired by this look from the blog Low to Luxe.

OOTD: A New Scarf Look
Today's inspiration comes from the blog Here and Now. I never would have thought to belt a large scarf and wear it like a shawl, but I'm really loving the look and how all the colors and patterns go together.

2 More OOTD's
Yesterday's OOTD:
I couldn't find a full length mirror, or an appropriate place to take pics all day yesterday, so I had to do an ootd collage, but you get the idea, lol. (Please excuse dirty public mirror.)
Inspired by this look from the blog My Curves and Curls.

10 Item Challenge Shopping List
Anyone who knows how much I love to shop may be surprised by what I write next. I've decided to participate in a 10 item challenge, meaning that I will attempt to only purchace 10 items of clothing for the next 6 months. The idea behind this is to consider your wardrobe needs and personal style so as not to make so many impulse purchaces. We'll see how this goes...
My list:
Gingham button up, probably in blue
Chambray tunic
Black drapey tee
Colored skinny pants, undecided on color
Black skinny pants
Retro halter 1 pc swimsuit
Boyfriend cardi, either colored or aztec print
Black and white striped jersey dress
Colored or patterned blazer, and/or moto jacket
Basic black shorts and/or skirt

OOTD For Gray Slouchy Beanie
I finished it two days ago but was waiting for the right time to wear it. Even after reading and watching tutorials, I couldn't figure out one of the stitches used in the original, but I'm really happy with how my version turned out. It fits well, and is really warm and comfy, plus gray goes with everything. I normally don't wear matching hats and scarves; I'm not really big on "sets" but I really like this look.
