Fall Fun Series: Fall Activity

Recently a friend and I spent a fun Saturday at Cover's Apple Ranch which is a quaint Mennonite farm, restaurant and bakery about an hour's drive up into the foothills. When we first arrived we purchased some hot apple cider and coffee to sip as we walked around and saw all the farm sights.

There were apples and other fresh produce galore, as well as plenty of country chic knick knacks.

This sign gave me a laugh.

Found some feline friends!

Some pretty hand milled goats milk soaps.

Cozy book nook!

Then we toured the barn and pumpkin patch.

Side eye from a mini horse.

A goat presenting it's horns.

Cute piglets.

Majestic horse.

Hay bale maze.

Cool vintage truck decked out with pumpkins and corn stalks.

Then we went on a train ride around the farm.

The conductor.

The barn.

"Alligator swamp."

Old machinery and bull skull.

Corn fields.

Apple Mount.

Apple tree.

Finally we ended our trip with a delicious homemade meal at their cafe and bakery.
I had a generous slice of quiche, fresh salad and apple sauce and it was delightful!
I also too home a jug of cider and an apple turnover for my hubby to enjoy.

Have you visited a farm, pumpkin patch, corn maze or other fall activity this year?

  1. So many good photos! Looks like a lot of fall fun crammed into one place. My favs are the conductor, the alligator swamp? the piggies and the case of bakery goodies. That old truck was pretty cool too. I would love to visit a hybrid farm market/country store and cafe. My husband and I visited a pumpkin patch today, so I'll report on it soon:)

  2. How cool!!! I feel like I got to go with you guys with these great photos! The apple cider really has me drooling. I have never had fresh made apple cider. Only the stuff in the grocery stores. We have not had a chance to go to a farm or pumpkin patch yet this year but I hope we can squeeze one in. There is a corn maze nearby but it is too ding dang hot for that right now.
