OOTD: Print Mixing Again

I saw the thermometer drop down to 1 degree f this morning. 1 degree! That's not enough degrees! So in an effort to not die a frigid death, I went with lots of layers. For outside this look was paired with a gray fleece lined puffer coat, not pictured because it's not particularly attractive, but oh so warm.

OOTD: Break Out The Snow Boots!

The DH and I have been driving in unseasonably warm temperatures in the south and west for a while, so today is our first time this season encountering freezing rain and snow as we drive up north towards Wisconsin.
Yesterday I pinned a bunch of winter outfits and dusted off my snow boots in preparation. I also borrowed the double thickness scarf that I made for DH a few years ago for this outfit. :)

OOTD: Bird Dress Take 2

I hadn't worn my much coveted Old Navy bird print wrap dress a 2nd time yet because it unfortunately did not hold up very well to washing. The black areas developed strange grayish protruding fibers, even though I followed the garment's care instructions, so this is a sign of poor fabric. I have not noticed the same problem on the green printed dress of the same style that I also purchaced, so I think the problem just shows up better on black.

Fortunately you can't see this from a distance or in photos, so I figured I'd create another outfit and get some more wear out of it before it falls apart.

Leopard Shoe Collection

So, dear readers, I may have a bit of a leopard shoe problem...

I now own 3 pairs of leopard print flats:

Payless Dexflex: $19.99 2 years old and getting a bit dingy.

Minnetonka Kilty Moccasins: $39.99 black w/leopard print, purchaced on Monday.

These loafers that I just got last night from Dollar General, deeply discounted to $8 so I couldn't resist!

At first my concern was that I wouldn't get enough use out of all three. Since they're all flat and leopard print, they all kind of go with the same types of outfits. Are they different enough that it's worth having all 3 styles?

Well, I have allayed my fears by searching for some outfit ideas to wear with each type of shoe in the future. Here are some sneak peeks of some looks that I plan to do.
