May OOTD: Fabulous Arm Party

TBH, this outfit ended up being less about an "arm party," although I am wearing some pretty bangles, and more about trying this fun scarf-to-vest pin. I've been meaning to try this ideas out for a while now, and it was much easier than I thought it would be! I love the results and will try more styling ideas and different scarves in the future.

May OOTD: Pretty In Pink

I did some hard core color and print mixing today; pretty happy with the results.
You'll have to forgive me my grogginess though; it's been a busy 24 hours. I babysat at the last minute for a friend's sick DD so said friend could attend her DS's 8th grade graduation. *washes hands 15 times*

Then I stayed up to wait for DH who ended up working a 34 hour shift because some geniuses at Craptastic Company decided it would be a good idea to send two noob employees out to do 21 stops without the proper label scanning equipment. We crawled out of bed at noon today.
But long story short, DH is giving 2 weeks notice to Craptastic Company today because the other job he really wanted finally called and said he will start on June 10th. A big thanks to those of you that were following along with the job oddesy. I really appreciated your encouragement!

Everything's thrifted except the necklace from Kohl's and watch from groopdealz.com.

May OOTD: Favorite Colors

I love color so much in general that it's hard to have favorites anymore, but here are a couple of colors I'm loving right now: aqua/turquoise and radiant orchid/lavender.
Mine is kind of the summer version of this pin:

May OOTD: Animal Kingdom

These monthly style challenges really are a great way to shop your closet and try new combos. Rather than go with one of my many leopard print pieces for today's theme, I was inspired to style my zebra cardigan by Adrien who blogs over at Looks Good From The Back.
I just love how the zebra print looks against the bright blue!

June Style Challenges

Some of you have been asking about new style challenges for June. I'm excited to say that I have created my own style challenge this month, which you can participate in here, and/or on Instagram. (If you wish to follow along on IG, I am under the same username. Please use the hashtag #mvasjunestylechallenge so that others participating can see your fab outfits!)

These are the other style challenges from IG this month, which I will also attempt to participate in.
Another fun one from Curvy Girl On The Run, and a great one from Don't Go Thrifting Without Me.

It should be a really fun and stylish June!

May OOTD: Fabulous Flats

I love flats of all kinds, so today's challenge was really fun! These teal, pointy, studded flats are one of my most FAB-U-LOUS pairs. :)
I am also surprised at the versatility of my scalloped hem Target ponte sheath dress. It was fun to remix  it in this look.

MaY OOTD: Dressed For Success

I may not be dresses for career success, but I'm dressed for winning at life. :)
I'm so pleased with today's color combo; cobalt, turquoise, and blush pink turned out to be such a beautiful combo. I was inspired by this look from the blog Garner Style.

This outfit was just calling out for my new leopard wedges. I <3 them. :)

BTW, this is one way that plus sized ladies (or anyone) can rock a crop top. They look amazing with high waisted pencil skirts! I have a cobalt cami on underneath, so no danger of it riding up and showing skin.

Ponte Pencil Skirt: Faded Glory, Walmart

Celebration Haul

Hubby got his first paycheck from his awful job, so we each treated ourselves to a couple wants. Hopefully he won't have to work the grueling hours much longer as he has a good chance of getting a different job with a more ethical company. Should find out about that within the next week or two.

Except for the flea market last week, I hadn't been shopping for a couple weeks, but then I saw this pic on Instagram today...

and I HAD to have it! All the following at groopdealz.com
World Map Scarf $12.99
Isn't it gorgeous??? *dies*

I may have also gotten all this...
Earrings on the right (left were sold out) $4.99

A good inexpensive drapey top option: $12.99

Yet another kimono jacket *drools* $18.99

And yet another drapey cardi, but in gray, because I've been needing a gray cardi 5evah! Goes with everything, only $7.99.

Finally, I pulled the trigger on this skirt from aliexpress.com. $12.70. I lovez it; only prob with shipping from China is that it won't be here for a month. :(

May OOTD: Passion For Fashion

I guess interpretations of today's challenge can be pretty open. I do have a passion for fashion; I have fun with it! I've been wanting to try coral and cobalt together, and was inspired by this look from the blog La Mariposa.

I've Created A Style Challenge For June!

I've been so inspired by participating in OOTD challenges these last few months that I decided to create one of my own! I look forward with much anticipation to unveiling my June Style Challenge on May 31st. I will post the challenge and OOTD's here on my blog as always, but you can also play along and show off your own outfits by following me on Instagram: @morningviewangel99, and using the hashtag #mvasjunestylechallenge!

May OOTD: Mix It Up

Yay, print mixing today!
I was inspired by this look from the blog Style Is Everything.

The colors and scale of my prints are a little more subdued; didn't want to go too OOT. I'm so happy I finally wore my polka dot shirt; I love it! I wish I had a fuller floral skirt though; I hope this silhouette doesn't look matronly on me. It was fun to show some leg again after wearing a lot of maxis recently. :)
